What would your life be like if you killed superheroes for a living?
Duke is the world’s worst superhero assassin. We’re not exaggerating – he sucks at killing superheroes, always needs a supervillain partner to help him with his hits, and the agency only ever seems to send him after d-list loser superheroes.
To make matters worse, his ex-wife/ rival assassin, Sharon, is brilliant at it, and she keeps stealing his hits.
It’s ok, though – Duke’s going to show everyone he’s got what it takes by taking out the world’s number one super hero team – The Liberty Brigade.
Just, you know – once he figures out how.
WRITER
Turncoat was written by Ryan O’Sullivan. Although Turncoat is was his first comic series, he’s gone on to write Eisenhorn: Xenos (TPub), Void Trip (Image), Fearscape (Vault Comics), and Dark Souls (Titan Comics), as well as being one quarter of the White Noise comic-writer studio.
Turncoat was illustrated, coloured, AND lettered by Plaid Klaus, a New York based artist and one of Ryan’s partners in crime. He also worked on Void Trip with Ryan, and you can tell that they’re a team that’s hard to beat. He also has an online course on how to make a comic book – similar to our own, but with more of a spin towards illustrators. You can check that out on his website, or contact him via Twitter.
Turncoat was edited and produced by Neil Gibson.

No spoilers. “The world’s worst superhero assassin with an ex-wife issue” (thats not a spoiler), you have to laugh. Just brilliant and entertaining from start to finish. Amazing art work too. Loved it!
